About Me
A Passion for Healing, Delivered to Your Door
For 10 years, I've been helping people work out the issues with their tissues — whether that means melting away stress, easing chronic pain, or just giving your body the reset it deserves. I'm a licensed massage therapist, and I bring the same professional touch whether you come to me or I bring the studio straight to you. My goal is simple: to leave you feeling happy, healthy, and whole.
My Story
Originally from Washington DC, I spent my career as a middle and high school Spanish teacher in Baltimore County, Maryland and southern Pennsylvania. Then, at 47, I did something a little unexpected — I ran away to the beach and became a massage therapist. I've been in Wilmington since 2015 and haven't looked back.
Hands in the Sands was born in 2016 from a simple belief: true wellness isn't one-size-fits-all. It's the right combination of habits, routines, and therapies — delivered with enough consistency to bring your body and mind into genuine balance. Massage and bodywork are powerful tools in that journey because they do something remarkable: they invite your central nervous system into a conversation with your musculoskeletal, circulatory, respiratory, lymphatic, integumentary, endocrine, and digestive systems. In other words, everything is connected — and when you treat the whole, the whole responds.
I opened Hands in the Sands in 2016 and built my practice across three brick-and-mortar locations in Wilmington — Midtown, Mayfair, and then Sea Gate. In February of 2020, I signed the lease on that third space. You know what happened next. I survived the pandemic, kept my clients, and came out the other side — but with rising lease costs showing no signs of slowing down, I knew it was time to pivot. In August of 2023, I converted a 26-foot shuttle bus into a fully equipped massage studio — a near replica of my prior space, complete with a massage table, recessed lighting, music, and everything needed for a truly relaxing session.
You can come to me at my private property where the studio is parked, or I can drive the studio directly to you. All I need is a flat area that can accommodate the bus for an Out Call.
